I believe Rocky Salumbides when he said that the reason he decide to leave the Pinoy Big Brother house is because he misses his girlfriend, Eula Valdez, so much. That’s the main reason why he opted to exit the house voluntarily.
Rocky Salumbides also wants to keep his promise to Eula Valdez that he will be with her on her birthday, and on Christmas and on New Year. He even shared that they have already planned about what they are going to do on those days.
For me, nothing beats that reason. You can’t tell Rocky that he’s being a coward quitting Pinoy Big Brother Double Up. He’s got a higher purpose. What reason is greater than love? And what purpose is greater than keeping a promise?
Now that the reason why Rocky Salumbides made the voluntary exit is out of the way, let me share my take on the things that he said before he left the house.
Rocky Salumbides as “Palamunin”
Rocky said he joined Pinoy Big Brother to prove to his adversaries that he is not a “palamunin”. That he can stand in his own.
I don’t think he succeeded on this purpose.
If I want to be a “palamunin” I would enter Kuya’s house. In that house, I am sure I will not be hungry. There will always be food even if the housemates lost on the weekly tasks. Of course, there will always be a Kuya to take care of me.
If I would like to stop people from calling me a “palamunin,” I would join Survivor Philippines.
Pinoy Big Brother is not about how you can stand on your own. It’s just a matter of showing who you are. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Rocky Salumbides doesn’t care about the fame
The perks of being in Pinoy Big Brother for a long time is the chance to enter showbiz. Like Gerald Anderson and Kim Chiu.
Rocky Salumbides doesn’t care about any of that. But that is what he is going to get.
Now that he has expressed his emotional side on national television, it will not be hard for the viewers to feel for him and to feel with him. Which may be the ingredients of drama actor. It won’t be a long time before ABS-CBN would explore this spring of emotions.
