That’s right. Charles Fernandez only needed to urinate to win the Final Immunity Challenge. But he had to do it on his shorts.
The Final Immunity Challenge was an endurance challenge where the castaways had to hold a rope tied to a barrel of metal balls as long as they can.
Jef Gaitan, who was already struggling to stay on the marker, gave up as early as 31 minutes. Justine Ferrer consumed 50 minutes before letting go, which can be the consequence of her transexual operation.
Amanda vs. Charles
I thought Amanda Colley Van Cooll was made for this challenge. She’s a construction worker. And she knew she can win it.
Charles was a little shaky on his grip. A lot of times he changed hands and position. And you can see in his face he’s having a hard time.
And then suddenly, while Charles was in a sitting position, the camera caught some water trickling down his shorts.
Saved by the pee
He said he had to do it. Or else he would lose the rope. Better suffer a few minutes of humiliation in exchange for a lifetime of pride.
It was a courageous act, really. And in this case, it is not only a lifetime of pride. Something with a hefty prize is at stake.
The castaway to win the Immunity Challenge will of course receive the Immunity Bracelet which will make him invincible in the next Tribal Council. And, he would also have the chance to win a two-milliion-peso worth condo unit in Makati.
The mind-boggling twist
However, Charles can only choose one: the Immunity of the Condo Unit.
At first I thought it was mind-boggling. But thinking about it, it’s really no-brainer question. Who would give up a 2-million-peso Condo Unit for a 1/3 chance to be the Pinoy Sole Survivor and take home three million pesos? I won’t.
It’s only a “chance”. The Condo Unit is for real.
Surely, Charles would choose the condo.

Amanda has to accept she’s going home. And Justine wouldn’t want to make it easy for her.
