As far as I can remember, Maalaala Mo Kaya airs after Home Along Da Riles every Thursday night. I don’t watch MMK back then. But as I grow up, I started hearing my classmates talk about it, sharing how they loved an episode. Every episode is still a hot issue in our office today. I guess, we learn to watch MMK as we get older.
The stories in MMK usually meant for us to reflect on our own lives after watching. And no one does the reflections better than the oldies. Well, all of us will get old.
For the 18th year of MMK in television, it will be featuring stories of Filipinos who have tried their fortunes in other countries. There will be five special episodes on all Saturdays of August, just before the Vilma Santos Documentary Special. I’ve created a list below on who and what to expect on those five episodes.
How long do you think will MMK last? If time will come that Charo Santos can no longer host it, who do you think will fit as the new host? Is MMK’s style still relevant?
